The High Performance Bullet Proof Material – Unidirectional Sheet (or call UD) is made from several layers of the UHMW PE fiber (Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene Fiber). All the fibers direction in each layer at 90° to the adjacent layers fibers and all the fibers are laid paralleled in the same plain. The unidirectional sheet's anti-ballistic performance is higher than other conventional woven fabrics because the energy transferred from the bullet/ballistic threat to be distributed along the fibers very quick.

So, it's a very lightweight one and has high level anti-ballistic performance for both personal and vehicle protection.
